NiteSafe LED Rechargeable Torch With Orange Night Light & Power Failure Light

Our most classic torch design, this model comes with a sleek and stylish weatherproof black coating and offers a constant night light function via an orange glow emitted from the base of the torch.

Once plugged in, the torch will remain dormant until lower light levels are detected. At this point the orange night light will automatically turn on and remain on until daylight is detected again.

When seated inside the cradle, the top LED light will automatically turn on if power is no longer detected or the wall socket is switched off. The bright COB LED provides a direct source of light during a power cut. Once activated, the torch will begin using its internal charge and will last up to 3 hours in power failure mode.

The torch can be removed from the cradle at any time for use as a handheld torch. The top LED will automatically turn on. Press the button once to activate the brightest beam, again to return to a lower beam, and a third time to activate flashing mode.

The weatherproof coating can withstand light drizzle but is not intended to be submerged in water or left in water for prolonged periods.

Please note that the night light feature activates whenever the torch detects that ambient light levels are lower than natural daylight. This can be caused by shadows, objects partially covering the unit, or the time of day, depending on where the torch is plugged in.

The torch does not use time-based or “smart” technology to determine whether it is day or night. Instead, it responds purely to light levels and will switch on when dusk-type lighting conditions are detected.

There is no way to manually control or override this feature. The only way to prevent the night light from activating during the day is to plug the torch into a location that receives consistent, uninterrupted daylight.

This product is intended to remain inside the plug-in cradle in a wall socket for the majority of the time unless being used as a handheld torch. The torch must be returned to the cradle to recharge. Power cut detection only works when the torch has charge and is correctly seated in the cradle with the socket switched on.

Please note the night light feature can not be turned off with this model.
