NiteSafe Maxi LED Dusk Till Dawn Night Light With Torch & Power Failure Light

One of the most popular models in the NiteSafe range, the Maxi is the only model that can be used solely as a power cut light with no other features.

The front LEDs of the Maxi automatically turn on during low or dark light and remain on until daylight. You can adjust brightness using the sliding switch on the front of the torch: Auto Lo (softer glow) or Auto Hi (brighter light).

Slide all the way down for Auto Hi, slide up once for Auto Lo, slide up again to turn the night light off completely, and slide a final time to switch the front LEDs on permanently in all lighting conditions. The grooves on the sliding switch are for grip only and do not correlate with the four settings.

When inside the cradle, the top LEDs automatically illuminate during a power cut or if the wall socket is switched off, providing up to 12 hours of light on a full charge.

The Maxi can be removed from the cradle at any time for handheld use. Press the front button to activate high beam, press again for low beam, a third time for SOS flashing mode, and a final time to turn off the torch.

Many hotels, holiday lets, and guest accommodations choose the Maxi for its ability to function solely as a power failure light. To use in this mode, ensure the sliding switch is set to “Off” to prevent the night light from activating.

This product is intended to remain in the cradle for most of the time. Power cut detection only works when the torch has charge and is seated correctly with the wall socket switched on.

The night light feature activates whenever the torch detects ambient light levels lower than natural daylight, which can be caused by shadows, objects partially covering the unit, or the time of day. The Maxi does not use smart technology; it operates purely on light levels.

To use the Maxi as a power failure only light, leave the sliding switch in the “Off” position. The top LEDs will still activate during a power cut. For more information, see our FAQs page.
