NiteSafe Duo-Lux LED Dual Motion Sensor Night Light With Task Light Torch & Power Failure Light

The Duo Lux is the flagship model in the Duo range, offering the brightest LEDs and the longest charge time.

The Duo Lux can operate in either Motion Sensor mode or Motion Sensor combined with Dusk Till Dawn mode. When first placed in the plug-in cradle, the torch defaults to Motion Sensor mode. In this mode, the front LEDs automatically activate when motion is detected during dusk or darkness and remain on for approximately 20 seconds before switching off.

To change from Motion Sensor mode to Dusk Till Dawn With Motion Sensor, press the button on the side of the torch while it is inside the cradle. In this mode, the front LEDs will turn on when low light, dusk, or darkness is detected and remain on constantly until daylight is detected again. In this mode the front LEDs will also get brighter when motion is detected before returning to the softer constant Dusk Till Dawn Night Light offering a dual night light feature.

The top LEDs automatically turn on when power is no longer detected or the wall socket is switched off. In power failure mode, the torch will provide up to 8 hours of light.

The torch can be removed from the cradle at any time for use as a handheld torch. The top LEDs will automatically turn on. Press the side button to activate the front LEDs and press again to switch to flashing mode.

This product is intended to remain in the plug-in cradle for the majority of the time. Power cut detection only works when the torch has charge and is correctly seated in the cradle with the wall socket switched on.

Please note that the night light feature activates whenever the torch detects that ambient light levels are lower than natural daylight. This can be caused by shadows, objects partially covering the unit, or the time of day, depending on where the torch is plugged in.

The torch does not use time-based or “smart” technology to determine day or night. Instead, it responds purely to light levels and will switch on when dusk-type lighting conditions are detected.

There is no way to manually control or override this feature. To prevent the night light from activating during the day, ensure the torch is plugged into a location that receives consistent, uninterrupted daylight.

Please note that the night light and/or motion sensor features cannot be turned off with this model.
