  • NiteSafe Maxi Plug-In Night Light & Emergency Torch

The Maxi is one of the most popular models in the NiteSafe range and the only model that can be used solely as a power failure light. With adjustable night light settings, handheld torch functionality, and automatic emergency activation, it offers maximum flexibility for home and rental safety.

    How To Use

    • Plug In & Charge: Keep seated in the induction charging cradle with the wall socket switched on.
    • Adjust Night Light Modes: Use the sliding switch on the front to select Auto Hi, Auto Lo, Off, or permanent On.
    • Power Failure Mode: Top LEDs automatically activate during a power cut, providing up to 12 hours of light when fully charged.
    • Handheld Torch: Remove from the cradle and press the front button to cycle through High Beam, Low Beam, SOS flashing mode, then Off.
    • Power Failure Only Mode: Leave the slider set to “Off” to disable the night light while retaining emergency power cut detection.

    Where To Use

Ideal for homes, hallways, bedrooms, hotels, guest accommodation, holiday lets, rental properties, and Airbnbs requiring reliable blackout lighting.

    Why It’s a Popular Choice

The Maxi offers the flexibility of being used solely as a power failure light while still functioning as a night light and portable torch when required. This model complies with the October 2023 government regulations for holiday homes and fire safety requirements.

    Please Note

    • The night light activates based on ambient light levels (not smart technology).
    • Shadows or low daylight may trigger Auto modes.
    • Power cut detection works only when charged and correctly seated in the cradle with power switched on.

    FAQs

Can The Night Light / Sensor be Turned off?
Yes, with this model the night light feature can be turned off. Simply slide the switch on the front of the torch to “Off” and the only feature will be the emergency power cut light detection.
What Are The Bumps/Grooves On The Front Sliding Switch?
These are intended to be used as a grip to help slide the switch up or down; they do not correlate to the night light modes. As you move the switch, you will feel subtle resistance to indicate which mode you are in.
How Does The Power Cut Light Work?
When the model is plugged into a socket and has sufficient charge, the emergency power-cut light on the top of the torch will automatically activate when power is no longer detected at the charging base.
How Does The Charging Base Work?
Each base uses induction charging technology, similar to an electric toothbrush. The torch draws a small amount of power from the mains to remain charged when in the cradle. Once removed or if the socket is turned off, the torch will begin to run down its charge until placed back in the cradle.
Can I plug this into an extension cable?
No — it is not recommended to use this product in an extension cable as the emergency light may not trigger correctly.
    What is the warranty?
Each model comes with a 12 month warranty period from date of receipt of goods. An invoice or proof of purchase may be needed to validate a warranty claim.
Why Is This The Most Popular Choice For Holiday Lets, Rentals & Air BnBs?
The Maxi offers the flexibility of being used solely as a power failure light but also has the capabilities to be used as a night light and/or torch if required. This model complies with the October 2023 government regulations for holiday homes and fire safety requirements.
